The Crook and the Highlandman

A factual film created by Frank Slaven, a member of Stepping Stones Mental Health Programme. Frank wrote, narrated and starred in this docudrama which highlights important experiences in his life. Frank portrays his chronic anxiousness as a young man, and depicts how his life turned a corner when on a misadventure Franks finds himself walking from Glasgow to Edinburgh. Robert McKillop was the film-maker who worked with people at Stepping Stones, helping them to make documentaries. Frank wrote down this story, Margaret Allan, a worker at Stepping Stones, helped him to edit it.
