But I'm Here For Mental Health

Contains references to suicide which viewers may find triggering.

Commissioned by Tyneside Mind, this film explores the catastrophic impact of the current Work Capability Assessment process on those suffering from mental illness. Following the stories of June, Alan and Phil, we see how the distress and hopelessness caused by this process is actually slowing people’s transition back into work.

Written in collaboration with Tyneside Mind service users, this film was produced by Meerkat Films in partnership with Helix Arts and was assisted by a grant from the Millfield House Foundation.
